Whale season is here… and we’re gathering to welcome it in!
Join us for a cozy evening of whale inspiration and ocean stories exploring the intelligence of whales.
Join us for a beautiful whale film screening followed by a relaxed talk exploring:
– Our connection to the ocean
– Moving from fear to calm in the water
– The intelligence and magic of whales
There’ll be warm drinks, good humans, and space to land softly in the middle of winter.
Where? Ocean Grind, 2 Sawmills Place, Torquay
Time? 630-8pm
Cost? $11 which includes a warm drink on the night.

As we celebrate World Oceans Day, this special evening launches The Salty Tribe's Whale Season series. It's the first of a season of ocean adventures, connection and learning, including ocean sessions, day trips and a deeper whale swimming experience that we'll share more about during the evening.
Warrnambool Whale Experience

Whale season is here... and we're heading to one of Victoria's best whale-watching destinations to experience it firsthand.
Join us for a full day trip exploring the wild coastline of Warrnambool as we immerse ourselves in the world of whales through wildlife encounters, ocean connection and relaxation.
Our day includes:
– Whale watching from some of Warrnambool's best coastal lookouts
– A guided snorkel experience (with options for different comfort levels)
– An inspiring whale talk from a local expert
– Time to unwind in the geothermal waters of the hot springs
– Good company, ocean stories and plenty of whale spotting opportunities
Whether you're new to the ocean or already whale-obsessed, this day is designed to deepen your connection with these incredible animals and the waters they call home.
There'll be plenty of opportunities to learn, connect and simply slow down as we celebrate the arrival of whale season together.

Time? Full-day experience, meeting at Warrnambool @10am.
Cost? $185 without hotsprings / $245 with hotsprings (snorkel gear hire additional $35)
Draft itinerary:
10:00am – Welcome, morning tea & whale watching
Meet in Warrnambool for a warm drink and morning tea as we gather overlooking one of Victoria's best whale-watching locations. We'll spend time spotting whales from the coastline while learning about their migration, behaviour and the incredible role they play in our marine ecosystems.
12:00pm – Guided snorkel experience
Experience the ocean firsthand with a guided snorkel session designed to build confidence, connection and curiosity in the water. Suitable for a range of experience levels, with support available throughout.
2:30-4:30pm – Hot springs & relaxation
After our ocean adventure, we'll head to the hot springs to soak, warm up and reflect on the day. Enjoy time to unwind, connect with fellow ocean lovers and take in the restorative benefits of the geothermal pools.
4:00pm – Finish
Depart feeling refreshed, inspired and more deeply connected to the ocean and the whales that visit our coastline each winter.
